The Smyrna Presbyterian Women's Ministry exists to support and encourage our church's mission to: KNOW and worship the Triune God, GROW in the covenant family of God as reformed disciples, and SHOW forth the love of Christ as servants and witnesses all for the glory of God.
It is our desire to create space for women in our congregation to connect with each other while equipping them to know God through His Word, participate in Sunday worship, bring courage to one another through fellowship events, and proclaim the excellencies of Christ who called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light in our homes and spheres of individual influence.
The SPC Women’s Ministry is open to all women in the church and Smyrna community. We offer weekly and monthly Bible study options during the course of a year, along with regular fellowship opportunities.
Monthly Bible Study Circles
Bible Study Circles cover a year-long approach to growing as a life-long learner of God's Word. From September to May, we give women the opportunity to do a self-paced study with monthly gatherings for fellowship over the learning materials. We currently offer three Bible Study Circle groups:
- 1st Thursday at 10:00 AM in the church library.
Childcare provided in the nursery up to age 5.
Facilitators: Meg King and Leah Williams
- 1st Thursday at 6:30 PM in the church library.
Dinner and childcare provided for ages 3+.
Facilitators: Meredith Myers and Amy Stiles
- 1st Saturday at 9:00 AM in the church library.
Facilitators: Pat Jackson and Ann Marie Kelly
For the 2023-2024 year, the Circles will go through The Book of Job by Derek Thomas. With each Circle meeting, this year-long study will be enriched by a brief video teaching followed by discussion and prayer. No prior registration or study is required to participate.

Weekly Bible Study Groups
Women of the Word is a weekly, in-depth Bible study open to all women inside and outside the SPC family. Each Fall and Spring, we work through an expositional study of the Bible, focusing on a particular chapter or passage each week. This September, the Women of the Word will be completing a 9-week study on Exodus: Part 1.
- Women of the Word (In-Person): meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the choir room. Childcare provided for infants and up.
- Women of the Word (Virtual): meets on Tuesdays at 7:30 AM via Zoom.
