Smyrna Presbyterian Church has been in the Smyrna/Vinings area of Georgia for over 100 years and has a faithful record of service to its community. The "first" church was started in 1864, but dissolved by the Cherokee Presbytery in 1905. However, about ten years later, seeing the need for another Presbyterian church, our SPC was born out of the meetings of a growing Sunday School and a Ladies Missionary Society. From those groups, more than 20 charter members came together and held their first service on October 30, 1914.
Smyrna Presbyterian Church is proud to continue to proclaim the truth of God's Word and be a light to Smyrna and beyond.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
1917 - Rev. J. G. Patton was installed as SPC's first pastor in 1917.
