Men’s Ministry is an extension of our Lord’s Day discipleship that focuses on men growing in knowledge and love for the Lord Jesus Christ. We desire men to connect with other men and spur each other on towards love and good works, while leading their families in the same.

Smyrna Presbyterian's Men’s Ministry is open to all men in the church and Smyrna community. Our programs for men include the following opportunities:

  • Men's Personal Study: Every semester, the men at Smyrna are invited to join an online course through Ligonier Connect. Each course has roughly 12-15 teaching video lessons with discussion questions to help them dive deeper into the study. For the Fall of 2022, we will be studying, Basics of the Christian Life by Sinclair Ferguson.
  • Men's Small Groups: Along with the personal study, the men at Smyrna are invited to join a small group that meets once a month to discuss the semester's theological book. For the Fall of 2022, we will be studying, The Hole in Our Holiness by Kevin DeYoung. If you are interested in joining a small group, please email Rev. Danny Myers at
  • Men's Large Group/Fellowship Dinner: Once a month, all the men are invited to gather together at a local restaurant for fellowship and a devotional study lead by one of our Pastors. For the 2022-2023 year, our Pastors will be teaching on the Life of the Disciples & Apostles, based on the book Twelve Ordinary Men by John MacArthur. For more information regarding the next Large Group meeting, visit our events calendar
  • Men's Fall & Spring Retreats: this is a time for men to gather for food and fellowship, while taking a deeper dive into various aspects of Biblical discipleship and leadership. Our typical retreat takes place on Friday night through Saturday afternoon and includes food, lodging, and a guest speaker. For more information regarding this year's retreat, email Rev. Danny Myers at
