Are you new to Smyrna Presbyterian Church? If so, we are so glad you are here. Here's a little bit about what you can expect.
Smyrna Pres is a church that values worship and discipleship. As we gather, our mission is to KNOW and worship the Triune God, GROW in the covenant family of God as reformed disciples, and SHOW forth the love of Christ as servants & witnesses—for the Glory of God. We ultimately want to present everyone mature in Christ all to the glory and honor of God.
At Smyrna Presbyterian, we exist to worship God. Our worship is the greatest act that we do as redeemed individuals therefore we seek to worship God how He calls us to worship Him.
In this way we desire our worship to be:
• God-honoring, and having that sole object of our worship
• Christ-proclaiming, pointing others toward the way, the truth, & the life
• Scripture-encompassing, with the Word of God as the means of our worship
• Mind-engaging, allowing the truth of God to penetrate our thinking
• Heart-enthralling, allowing the love of God to permeate our emotions
We do not want to be trendy or traditional, for trendy or traditional sake. Rather, we seek to have true, authentic worship that glorifies God and engages the worshipper.
We currently have Sunday School at 9:45 AM for children and adults, followed by worship at 11 AM. Dress is business casual to professional and Nursery is available for all children 3-years-old and under.
We have the communion on the first Sunday of each month. Wine is included in the Lord's Supper, although grape juice is available if you have a conscientious objection.
Our mid-week activities typically start with a Fellowship Meal in our Fellowship Hall at 5:30 PM. Afterward, the children and youth gather for classes that begin at 6:30 PM. Adults meet in the choir room for Devotion & Prayer at 6:45 PM.
Smyrna Pres is conveniently located next to Taylor-Brawner Park on Atlanta Road SE in Smyrna, Georgia. Our address is:
