The purpose of the Smyrna Presbyterian Youth Ministry is to expose students to the gospel of Jesus Christ, equip them with the understanding of the Lordship of Christ over all of life, and to exhort them to think biblically and critically in their journey towards adulthood—all by the Grace of God and all for the Glory of God.
Every week, our Middle School (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade) students gather for Bible-centered and Christ-exalting fellowship and teaching. We cover several different topics throughout the year that are age-appropriate to the youth we serve.
Our programs for youth at Smyrna include:
Sunday School - 9:45 AM on Sundays, 6th-12th graders gather together to dive deeper into God's word. This year, the youth will be discussing the ideas, themes, and topics found in "Developing Christian Character" and "Face to Face with Jesus" by R.C. Sproul.
Youth Group - 6:30 PM on Wednesdays, 6th-12th graders are invited to gather for a time of singing praises to God followed by a devotion lead by one of our Pastoral Interns.
Fall Youth Retreat - this is a time for the youth to gather for food and fellowship, while taking a deeper dive into various topics.
- Summer Camp - during the months of June & July, our youth pile into a bus to travel to camp for a full week of food, games, fellowship, and more. Camps are offered seperately for both Middle School (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade).
