Get Plugged In!

Smyrna Presbyterian Church gathers with a mission to KNOW and worship the Triune God, GROW in the covenant family of God as reformed disciples, and SHOW forth the love of Christ as servants and witnesses—for the glory of God. So each ministry event and growth opportunity we have to get you plugged in to the life of the church is designed to be an extension of that.

KNOW

Sunday School for all ages - 9:45 AM


Adults will meet in the Fellowship Hall for a new series called "Devoted to God's Church". Listen to audio from the series

Our children's Sunday School classes meet in the School Wing.

Sunday Morning Worship - 11 AM in the Sanctuary.

Fellowship Meal - 5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. This week's menu features pulled pork, cole slaw, baked beans, chips, and dessert.

Men's Discipleship - 7:30 PM at Bad Daddy’s Burgers, Smyrna (corner of Atlanta Rd. & Spring Rd.). All men are welcome to attend!

Wednesday, June 23

Splash Pad Playdate & Picnic - 10:30 AM at The Battery
Bring your own chairs or a blanket, and lunch (or buy something yummy from any of the restaurants) and join us! Those with children may come at 10:30 AM for a playdate on the splash pad. Summer Backyard Book Club continues - 7:30 PM at the home of Meredith Myers
All women are invited to participate in a bi-weekly book club sponsored by the Women's Ministry. We will be reading The Gospel Comes with a House Key: Practicing Radically Ordinary Hospitality in Our Post-Christian World by Rosaria Butterfield while exploring the biblical principles of hospitality and personal evangelism.

New Members Class - 9:45 AM in the Parlor (across from the office). Are you new to Smyrna Presbyterian Church and want to learn more about it? Join us for our five-week introductory course. Taking the class does not obligate you to become a member, but it is required prior to membership. Register here or complete the paper form included in the Sunday bulletin.

Our Keenagers are planning to see The VanGogh Experience in downtown Atlanta at 11 AM. Tickets are $15. If you are 55+ and want to join or learn more about this group, please contact Jim Ogburn (jameswogburn@gmail.com).

 

 


SHOW

Our Norton Park Elementary Food Pantry outreach is in need of funds to fill the pantry in preparation for Summer Break.  Contributions can be made to SPC here, noting "Norton Park" as the designated fund. 

The Oasis Encouragement Ministry 
is seeking volunteers to help cheer, console, and comfort those who are ill, shut-in, burden-laden, or suffering.  Volunteers are needed to write cards, to deliver little gifts of encouragement, and to make phone calls or visits.  (Cards and gifts will be provided.)
